Look Out Macau, Here Comes Poker Pro Doyle Brunson And Company
The game of poker is based widely on star power. If a tournament attracts top professionals, then there is a good chance that the amateurs will follow and the tournament will be a success.
Doyle Brunson is at the top of the food chain as far as star power for current pros. He is a legend of the game, and some even consider him the greatest living player of the game.
The Asian Poker Tour has been building up their portfolio of top players that will compete at their event in Macau at the end of August. Brunson might be their biggest fish yet after he announced that he will be attending the event.
He will not be going solo. Todd Brunson, the son of the poker legend, will also be taking part in the tournament. The two of them join an already impressive list of pros that are playing in the event.
The buy-in for the tournament will be $5,300. The tournament also offers a guaranteed prize pool of at least $1.5 million. In addition to the scheduled tournament, the Tour has added a high stakes poker game with a minimum buy-in of $128,000.
