Michael Mizrachi Comes Up Short At World Series Of Poker

The World Series of Poker continues to chug along here in Las Vegas. Michael Mizrachi was making a serious run through Event #21 a No-Limit Hold'em tournament, but he came up short of the final table.

Mizrachi was battling throughout the $5,000 buy in tournament but could not get over the hump that led to the final table. Scott Seiver eventually landed the as the champion of the event. He won $755,891 for his first place finish.

Event #22 was a H.O.R.S.E. tournament with a $3,000 buy in. Jens Voertmann emerged as the champion and bracelet winner of the event. He took home $298,253 for his win. Douglas Ganger finished in second, winning $182,822.

The final table of the No-Limit Hold'em $2,000 buy in Event #23 is now set. Andrew Jeffreys is the chip leader heading to the final table with 1,051,000 chips. He is followed closely by Blair Hinkle with 1,030,000.

Allen Cunningham is attempting to win his first bracelet this year in the Pot-Limit Hold'em/Omaha tournament that is also down to the final table. He is in second position in the chip count with 484,000. He is not far behind the leader, Kyle Kloeckner who has 494,000.

Three other tournaments are currently going on. A World Championship Head Up event began on Friday and some big names are still left in the field of thirty two. Mizrachi, Sammy Farha, Erick Lindgren, Kenny Tran, and Vanessa Selbst, who has already won once here this year, are all still around. The tournament started with 256 entrants.
