Pearl River Resort Opens New Poker Room
Pearl River Resort officials unveiled the new Sports Ticker Poker Room in a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday. The resort shifted the poker room from Silver Star Hotel & Casino to the Golden Moon Hotel & Casino Sports Ticker lounge. "The Sports Ticker offers a great environment for our poker players," poker room manager Jay Eubanks said.
"We are surrounded by a dozen televisions tuned in to 24 hour sports channels and the Sports Ticker?s delicious food and beverages are only a few feet away. "John Koetter, vice president of gaming operations for Pearl River Resort, said the move was to provide better guest service. "Because poker is becoming increasingly popular we felt placing more prominence on our poker room would enhance the overall guest experience at Pearl River Resort," Koetter said. "Texas Hold 'em is one of the most watched events on television today."
