Poker Player Alliance Gaining Power With Over One Million Members

The Poker Player Alliance is battling hard to get the United States government to create an exception for the game of poker in the current Internet gambling ban.

The group is expected to announce that they are gaining power in numbers. It is rumored that they have passed the one million mark in members.

They currently are working on a voter registration drive for their 'If You Play, Have A Say' campaign. They will use the summer's biggest poker event to get people to sign up.

The World Series of Poker will be held in July, and with the amount of players that come from all over the country, the group will be able to sign up many members. They will also be registering voters for the November election.

The Alliance is realistic in their goals. They do not believe that the current situation will change this year. There is optimism, however, that when a new group takes over in Washington, that there could be changes to the online gambling industry in America.

The group is still clinging to the idea that they can get an exception from the current laws based on one premise. Poker is a game of skill, and not luck. If they can convince lawmakers that the statement is true, they will be well on their way to achieving their goal of legalized online poker.
