Poker Pro Lacey Jones To Be Face Of Canadian Poker Tour
Lacey Jones has become one of the most talked about poker players in the world. The poker pro has marketed herself so well, that she was recently voted the "hottest girl in poker." Now, she has parlayed her celebrity into a major deal.
The Canadian Poker Tour, which is owned by HeadsUp Entertainment International, has signed Jones to be the face of the CPT. Jones will be attending many of the CPT events, and will do a pictorial in the Canadian Poker Player Magazine.
"Here is a girl that loves hockey, loves Canadian beer and is an amazing poker player to top it off," said CPT President Kelly Kellner, "...We believe that by having Lacey attend many of our events and the fact that she is about to move to Vancouver, the partnership couldn't be stronger."
The CPT has been searching for a way to increase the amount of women playing on the tour. In recent years, women participation has dropped, and the tour believes that Jones could be instrumental in bringing some of the women back to the card tables.
"I truly love Canadians and am so happy to be part of the Canadian Poker Tour," said Jones. Recently, Jones played in the 2010 CPT Kickoff Poker Series, and will next attend an event in Canada for the Winter Freezeout event at Cash Casino in Calgary.
