Poker Run Nets $3,910 For Multiple Sclerosis
Close to 100 people met this past weekend at Ashland Elks Lodge 1360 in an attempt to raise money on behalf of the Northwestern Ohio Chapter of the Multiple Scerosis Society. An estimated 400,000 Americans are affected with Multiple Sclerosis, which is a chrnic and unpredictable neurological disease that attacks the Central Nervous System. The poker run was staged by Ed and Barbara Williams on behalf of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and their daughter, Teresa Cook, who is afflicted with MS.
Ashland area businesses donated prizes, many volunteers pitched in to help, with the poker run generating $3,910, everyone contributing to help a very specialo lady try to win her fight and that of thousands of other people to rid the world of this debilitating disease. National Cash Advance advertises quick, easy access to money, but the transaction which took place Monday is not what company officials have in mind.
