Pros And Amateurs Begin Descent On Las Vegas For WSOP
The World Series of Poker takes on a life of its own in Las Vegas. The talk of the town all revolves around the tournament starting a couple of weeks before the event.
Now, with just five days left before the event starts, poker pros and amateurs alike have started to infiltrate Las Vegas. They are readying to play in various tournaments throughout the WSOP.
Many of the pros play in a majority of the tournaments that are held. Some of them come to Las Vegas with hopes of winning their first WSOP bracelets. Others are just looking to cement their legend with additional bracelets.
For the amateurs the goal is a bit different. They come to Las Vegas to show the poker world that they are for real. If they should get lucky enough to win a bracelet, they too, could enjoy the benefits.
Sponsors of online poker sites are looking for winners this week. With each tournament that is won, the online sites will be looking for players to represent their brand.
Just this week, Shannon Elizabeth signed a deal to represent DoylesRoom at the World Series of Poker. Daniel Negreanu is using the WSOP hype to promote a new Poker Training System he has developed.
The hype has begun and the players have started to arrive, now all that is left is for the cards to be dealt.
