Ralph Porter Wins No-Limit Hold'em Event At WSOP
The World Series of Poker continues to roll on here in Las Vegas, Nevada. The latest two tournaments to end have made bracelet winners out of Ralph Porter and Farzad Rouhani.
Rouhani won Event #10, an Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Low-8 or Better tournament. He held off the competition and won the bracelet over Tom Chambers, who finished in second. Rouhani won $232,911 for winning. Also placing in the tournament was (Miami) John Cernuto, who finished in third.
Ralph Porter was the winner of a $1,500 buy in No-Limit Hold'em/Six Handed tournament. It was Event #9. For coming in first, Porter won $372,843 and of course the WSOP bracelet. A majority of amateurs placed in this tournament.
As the day wears on Sunday, two more tournaments begin, and four more are still ongoing. The first ladies event at the WSOP began. It was a $1,000 buy in No-Limit Hold'em World Championship.
Only six players remain in Event #11, a No-Limit Hold'em Shootout. The final table is set but has yet to begin.
On Monday, another No-Limit Hold'em Shootout will begin, along with a No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball w/ReBuys tournament.
