The World Series of Poker prides itself on letting people of all races and ethnic backgrounds compete in their tournaments. Still, they schedule a couple of events throughout the tournament that are dedicated to only the ladies.

The first of those events was a No-Limit Hold'em World Championship Event with a $1,000 buy in. Svetlana Gromenkova became the champion of that event and won herself a WSOP bracelet. She also won $224,702 for the win.

Anh Lee finished the tournament in second place with Patricia Till coming in third. They won $144,567, and $73,637, respectively. Christine Priday had the chip lead during the tournament, but finished in fourth, winning $67,715.

Jason Young was awarded a bracelet for winning the No-Limit Hold'em Shootout. He won $335,565. The buy in for the tournament was $1,500. Mike Schwartz finished in second place.

Andrew Brown held off pro Ted Forrest to win Event #16. Brown received $226,483, and Forrest $143,420 for their first and second place finish.

Three tournaments that began on Monday and Tuesday are still being played. Today, a H.O.R.S.E. Event begins, as does another No-Limit Hold'em tournament.
