The World Series of Poker is heading into the dog days of this year's tournaments. The excitement of the first few tournaments has now disappeared and given way to players looking for WSOP bracelets.

One player who earned one of those bracelets this week was Vanessa Selbst. She out dueled the men in the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament. For winning first place she received the bracelet, and $227,965.

Jamieson Pickering finished the tournament in second place picking up $145,459. Stanley Statkiewicz finished in third and was awarded $88,062.

It has been several years since Daniel Negreanu last won a World Series of Poker bracelet. He finally broke through after placing in the money a bunch of times over his first place dry spell.

Negreanu won a $2,000 buy in, Limit-Hold'em event that had 479 entrants. The poker pro made $204,874 for his first place win. To win the title, Negreanu had to beat out Ugur Marangoz and David Baker. The pair finished second and third respectively, and won $126,671 and $78,624.

There are currently five tournaments in progress with a sixth one getting ready to start soon. Four more tournaments will start over the weekend including a World Championship Limit Hold'em event. The buy in for that tournament will be $10,000.
