World Series of Poker Dates Released For 2008 Event
The World Series of Poker has become a cultural phenomenon around the World and an event that big requires planning months and months in advance, which is why organizers are already planning for 2008.
The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will take center stage next year as it will be the site for the biggest poker event in the World, the World Series of Poker.
The 18 day grueling event will be held from May 30th through July 17th, 2008.
Milwaukee's Best is the sponsor of the event which has become somewhat of an experience for players, some of which do not even play in any events, just go to Vegas to take in the atmosphere.
The tournament room will be opened for two events which are being touted as a "soft opening" on May 26th where players can come in and pre-register for events to avoid the long lines that accompanied last years tournament.
This year's main event was smaller than expected but that can be directly attributed to the fact that there were not as many entries given out by online poker sites due to the new laws in the United States.
