World Series Of Poker Main Event Heads Towards Final Table
The World Series of Poker is a long and grueling competition that takes all of the greatest poker players in the world to Las Vegas. After crowning over forty champions over the past month, the Main Event has finally become the focus of the Series.
The main Event began last week and had over 6,500 participants entered. The first two days of the tournament covered almost a week and eliminated over half of the field. Now, the tournament is turning for home.
After all of the poker play that has occurred over the past month, the WSOP has almost reached its destination. The final table will be set soon for the Main Event, and some big name players are still vowing to be at that table.
Phil Hellmuth had a spirited battle with fellow player Ramzi Jelazzi. At one point during the day, Hellmuith told Jelassi, "When you play with me, you don't just have to beat my cards, you have to beat me."
Jelassi did not back down from the challenge, saying, "I think I can beat your cards. I'ver had the best hand every time." A few hands later, Hellmuth folded to Jelassi with decent cards.
Upon folding, Hellmuth showed his cards and asked if Jelassi had him beat. jelassis showed 4-5 and said, "when you play with me, you don't play the cards, you play the man." That type of interaction went on throughout the day between the two.
