World Series Of Poker Main Event Ready To Begin On Thursday

The World Series of Poker is a grueling group of events that last for over a month. The Series takes place at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and is frequented by all of the top professional card players in the world.

The Main Event at the Series is the main draw, and on the eve of the commencement of the Main Event, players are preparing their final strategies in hopes of becoming the next poker legend.

The No-Limit Hold'em $10,000 buy in event begins at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday. The first day will actually consist of four days, 1A,1B,1C,and 1D. They will start Thursday and run through Sunday, with up to 3,000 players starting each day.

Play will then continue with two day twos on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Once those days are complete, everybody left in the tournament will begin playing on the same days from July 10th through July 14th.

In a change from past years, once the group reaches the final table, play will be suspended. No, not for a day or two, but for nearly four months. The final table will be playe4d November 9th and 10th, with both days starting at 10A.M..

All of the top pros will be playing in the event. Many amateurs from around the world will also make the trip to Las Vegas to play to become a household name across the world.
