The Main Event begins in less than a week at this years World Series of Poker, and heading into that main event it appears that several players will be competing for Player of the Year honors with multiple tournament wins.

Jeffrey Lisandro has stolen the show through the first month of the WSOP. He has won three bracelets and is far out in front in the Player of the Year standings. There are several other players who have won two bracelets and are trying to chase down Lisandro.

Greg Mueller won his second bracelet in the past two weeks by holding off another player who has recently won a title. Mueller defeated Marc Naalden in heads-up play of the $1,500 Limit shootout to capture his second crown in a Limit event this year.
