WSOP Free Entry Will Go to Winner of Celebrity Poker Tournament
Now that online poker rooms are not allowed to enter or sponsor guests into this year's World Series of Poker players are looking for new ways to gain a seat into the poker world's biggest yearly tournament. Opportunity Village has just announced their second annual poker tournament where the grand prize is a free entry into the WSOP, giving poker players around the world a new means to gain a seat. The remaining finalists in the Opportunity Village charity tournament will split a $40,000 prize pool.
The tournament is for charity and the suggested buy-in is $500. The tournament will take place on Saturday, May 12 and it will be held at Caesars Palace from 1 to 6 p.m.
The grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize along with their free entry into the WSOP.
There will also be a tips and tricks session held before the tournament held by Pro Poker Player David Sklansky. His tips and tricks training program will run for a half an hour from 12:15 - 12:45 p.m. Interested parties can attend the program for a donation of $25 to the Opportunity Village.
All proceeds from the tournament will go to help people with intellectual disabilities enhance their daily lives and the lives of their families.
