WSOP Main Event Betting Odds Have Phillips And Demidov Favored
The World Series of Poker is now in a stage where the nine participants for the final table at the Main Event are relaxing. They also might be brushing up on their poker skills since the final table will not begin until November.
What has begun already is gambling on who will win the Main Event. Odds have been released and Dennis Phillips of the United States and Ivan Demidov of Russia are the co-favorites.
Phillips will enter the final table as the chip leader. He currently has 26,295,000 chips. He is trailed closely by Demidov holding 24,000,000. They are both at +425 to win the event and capture the bracelet and over $9 million.
Scott Montgomery of Canada is the third choice at +475, and Peter Eastgate is +525. From there, the odds nearly double that of the favorites. Ylon Schwartz is +800 and David Chino Rheem is +850.
Darus Suharto and Craig Marquis are staring at odds of +900 and +950 respectively. The long shot and underdog to come all the way back to win the main event is Kelly Kim. He only comes into the final table with 2,620,000 chips. Anyone looking to take a chance on an improbable comeback will get 25-1 odds.
