WSOP Main Event Final Table Resumes In Two Weeks, Ivey Ready

For most that make it to the final table at the World series of Poker Main Event, the couple of months between arriving at the final table and playing at the final table can be grueling. For Phil Ivey, it was just another couple of ordinary months.

Ivey is a professional poker players, one of the most recognizable in the world, so the fanfare surrounding the other eight participants is nothing new to Ivey. he has continued on his path of playing poker around the world during his final table break.

That does not mean, however, that Ivey is not focused on the goal at hand. He has multiple WSOP bracelets that show that he knows just how to finish off a tournament when he gets to this position. His opponents know as well how difficult it will be to finish Ivey off.

"For many of these players at the final table, they are pretty much unknown to their opponents," said Gaming Analyst Brad Dawkins, "But with Ivey, there is a player who everyone at the final table has studied at one point or another when they learned how to play poker."

Dawkins that could work for or against Ivey. If he can play unpredictably, he could catch his opponents off guard. If he plays like the player that the others has studied, it could be difficult to do what is necessary to win the tournament.

Chances are, Ivey already has his game plan. He did not become one of the best in the world by luck. In a couple of weeks, his skills will once again be on display for all to see.
