Gone are the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan, Phil Hellmuth, and Jennifer Harman. With a majority of the big name poker pros out of the World Series of Poker main event, the race for the final table has been pared to just eleven players.

Currently, Jonathan Duhamel may be as close to a lock of reaching the final table as there ever has been with eleven players left. Duhamel has the chip lead, and with 58,000,000 chips, he nearly has his next closest competitor doubled.

John Racener is the player sitting in second place, with 30,500,000 chips. Three other players are sitting on chip stacks larger than 20,000,000. Joseph Cheong, who has held the chip lead at certain points of the main event, is third with 25,200,000, while Matthew Jarvis and John Dolan have 23,100,000 and 21,200,000 respectively.

The middle of the pack consists of players with chip stacks from 12,500,000 to 18,000,000. Jason Senti has made the biggest splash lately, winning a pot of almost five million chips. Play has tightened considerably with just two eliminations left until the November Nine is complete.

Michael Mizrachi spent the early part of the WSOP watching his brother Robert have success. Now, the spotlight on the Mizrachi family has shifted to Michael, who currently is in tenth position with 8,500,000 chips. Brandon Steven is the short stack left in the tournament, with 4,700,000 chips.

It could end up being a long night for the players with everyone clamping down and not wanting to make the mistake that leads to them being eliminated on the final table bubble. Once the tournament reaches nine players, play will be suspended until November.
