WSOP Report: Down To Final Two Tables at This Years Main Event
Over 6,000 participants entered into the 2007 World Series of Poker main event and after 10 days of grueling action, the field is down to the final 17 players on two tables. The day will conclude when we are down to our final table.
Lee Childs will be the chip leader coming out of the break with 16,535,000. He is followed by Tuan Lam with 14,945,000 and Lee Watkinson with 10,375,000.
Although he is not currently the chip leader, the developing story of this years tournament is Scotty Nguyen. He currently has 5,960,000 chips.
Nguyen is having himself a tremendous Series so far as he has already cashed in five WSOP events. Omaha and Seven Card Stud appear to be his strongest games as they have provided him with four of the five money finishes.
Should he make it to the final table and down to the final two players his opponent might want to watch out, he has already placed in a Heads Up no limit tournament at this years Series.
Nguyen is one of the highest earning tourney players of all time and his legend will only grow as he progresses through this years main event.
Play will continue on Sunday until we play down to the final table, then the remaining players will have Monday off before heading into the tournaments final day and table on Tuesday.
