WSOP Report: Main Event Less Than Two Weeks Away
Three more tournaments have been completed at the World Series of Poker and as the main event moves within two weeks away, players are getting ready for the big event.
In action that has been completed recently event # 35, a No Limit Hold'em tournament with a $1500 buy in, Ryan Young emerged victorious, winning the coveted bracelet, and $615,955. Dustin Dirksen finished in second making $381,381.
The next one in line to finish was # 36, a $5000, World Championship Hi/Lo Split 8's or Better tournament. John Guth finished in first taking home $363,216. Robert Stevanovski place in second and won $218,456.
Event # 37 was the latest one to finish and Greg Hopkins took home first and $269,274. The event was a $2000 buy in, Pot Limit Hold'em tournament. Jason Newburger was the runner up in this event winning $165,707.
Events #38 thru 42 are under way and are not yet completed.
The main event is set to start on Friday, July 6th.
