WSOP Report: Negreanu Makes Another Appearance at Final Table
Daniel Negreanu is making his mark on this years WSOP, and along with fellow pro Phil Hellmuth, they are showing up more and more at the final tables.
The latest final table appearance for Negreanu was in event #32, a Seven Card Stud, $2000 buy in tournament. He finished in fifth place, winning $21321. Another pro, Howard Lederer, finished in ninth, making $6203. Jeffrey Lisandro, currently the leader for the player of the year award, finished first, collecting $118,426.
In other action that has been completed, event #31, a $5000, World Championship Heads Up No Limit hold'em tourney, Dan Schreiber took first place and $425,594. Mark Muchnik finished second for $230,300.
#33 was a $1500, Pot Limit Omaha event, and Peter Smurfit walked away with the bracelet and $464,867. Second place went to Qushqar Morad, claiming $279,595.
The latest tournament to end was #34, a $3000 No Limit hold'em event. The winner was Alexander Borteh, winning $225,483. Brandon Wong finished second making $135,615.
The series continues on with events #35 thru 38 currently going on.
