WSOP Update: Final Four Players Dragging Out Final Table
This years World Series of Poker main event has gone very smoothly up until this point, but with the stakes as high as they are, play has slowed to a crawl, with the four remaining players exchanging blinds.
Players have gone on a twenty minute break and unlike in past main event final tables, there is not much action or interaction between the four remaining players.
Jerry Yang is the chip leader with 57,625,000 chips. He has been the most aggressive of the remaining players, most of the time raising between 1.5 and 2 million chips when he plays a hand. The other players have been reluctant to call his raises due to his unpredictability.
Raymond Rahme is in the second position with 29,200,000 chips. He has been very tight so far at the final table.
In third position is Russian Alex Kravchenko with 28,300,000 chips. He has played as the short stack for the majority of the final table but an all in hand of pocket kings, that was called by Yang, doubled up Kravchenko, and he now is believed to be the favorite to win the tournament.
In fourth position at the break is Tuan Lam with 12,350,000 chips. It will be up to him to make a move when play resumes.
There is not much pressure on any of the players of being blinded out as each player still holds more than 30 times the big blinds. That is the cause for the extremely tight play we are seeing so far from the final four.
