#2 Ranked South Florida Facing Stiff Test Vs. Big East Rival Rutgers

Rutgers is a team that knows plenty about what the South Florida Bulls are going through this season, because the Bulls are mirroring last years Scarlet Knights team.

South Florida has started this season undefeated and because of all the upsets so far, they have climbed all the way to #2 in the BCS standings, but to stay there, they must win in a hostile environment tonight in New Jersey.

Rutgers had their dreams of a national title dashed last year with a couple of late season losses, now they are looking to play spoiler to the Bulls and get themselves back into the Big East title race.

The Bulls are the best team in Florida, and that is a huge compliment in a state where Florida, Florida State, and Miami all have national titles to their credit.

South Florida also knows that since this is their first run at national prominence, that they must continue to impress and cannot afford to slip up, not even once.

Last week, they destroyed what was thought to be a decent football team in Central Florida, and now they will be playing in front of a national television audience in prime time against a very dangerous Scarlet Knights team.

This will be the first test for South Florida since upsetting Auburn early in the year, and a win should keep the Bulls at #2 for at least one more week.

ESPN will have coverage of the game starting at 7:30 tonight.
