American League Gambling Favorite Once Again In All Star Game

The American League has been having quite a nice run in the all star game over the past decade. They have not lost even once to the National League, and are once again the gambling favorites for this year's game.

The commissioner of Major League Baseball decided a few years back that the mid-summer classic should not end in a tie, so he intervened and made the game mean something. It has not helped the National League.

The closest they have come is a few years ago when they blew the game in the late innings, other than that the American league stars have shined brighter. Sports books do not believe this will be the year either, which is why the American League is the gambling favorite.

This year the league will also enjoy one of the best home field advantages in sports. They will be playing in the house that Ruth built, Yankee Stadium. It will be the last year for the stadium, and the National League is hoping to send it out an all star game loser.

Even though the game will be played in the Bronx, it will have the feel of Fenway Park in Boston. The defending World Series champion Red Sox will be sending seven players to the game.

That number was only matched by the Chicago Cubs, but they will only have six since Alfonso Soriano will not be playing in the game. Evan Longoria and Corey Hart won the fan voting for the last spot on the team. David wright will also be attending as a replacement for Soriano.
