Anyone Betting On Tiger Woods In Trouble At The Masters
Tiger Woods is the golfing equivalent to athletes such as Wayne Gretzky and Michael Jordan. Athletes that when they are in battle in their particular sport, are always favored to win over their opponents.
Such is the case this weekend at The Masters. The major golf championship is one of the places where Woods has been unbelievable throughout his career. The betting odds have been shifted heavily in his favor this weekend, as they have been almost every time he steps on a golf course.
For any gamblers who bet on Woods to win this weekend, however, these are trying times. Woods has been anything but dazzling so far, and is seven shots off the lead after completing two rounds.
On Thursday, Woods shot a -2, 70. Today he was less spectacular, and posted an even par 72 for the day. That left him seven shots off the leaders, who at the time this article was written were Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell at -9.
The most impressive round of the day on Friday came from twenty three year old Anthony Kim. He posted a -7, 65, to climb back into contention at -4 for the tournament. Jim Furyk was hovering around the leader board also at -5.
Phil Mickelson has won The Masters twice, but has yet to make his move this weekend. He shot a 73 on Thursday, and is currently -2 today through fourteen holes.
Even though Woods is seven shots off the lead, not many people are counting him out. He came back from five shots down in the final round a couple of weeks ago to win a PGA event.
