As Weekend Approaches, NFL Super Bowl Betting Heats Up In Vegas

Maybe ten days ago was too early to decide whether the coin flip for Sunday's Super Bowl would be heads or tails, but now gambler Johnny Hutchins has made his decision. He has wagered appropriately in a Las Vegas sportsbook after making his choice.

"I came to Vegas to place some bets on the Super Bowl. I did not know what I would bet on, but I knew the coin toss prop would be one of my bets. I just flipped a coin twenty times and heads came up more, so I bet on heads,' said Hutchins.

There are thousands of story's just like Hutchins' around the US today. As game day gets closer, people have stopped the analyzing and have started putting their money where their mouths are.

"We have seen a major increase in bets over the past twenty four hours and anticipate that the trend will continue all the way up until the climax right before game time," said one manager working inside one of the sportsbooks in Las Vegas.

Just as the players must adapt to the schedule of Super Bowl week, so to must gamblers. Much more work goes into watching expert predictions and breaking down match ups than what would normally be seen for an NFL game.

The Super Bowl became the biggest individual sporting event in the world largely because of gambling. People who have not bet on one game all year will have money riding on Sunday's outcome.

The craziness has begun. The analysis is almost over, and all that is left is for people to make their pick. Currently, the Steelers are still favored by the same seven that they were since the betting line was announced.
