Baseball Betting Resumes With Pitchers And Catchers Reporting
The baseball betting season may not be in full swing until opening day, but with pitchers and catchers reporting this week to spring training camps, gamblers will be starting to look at future betting odds. This is the time to get in early on future odds.
Whether the Yankees and their gazillion dollar payroll can transform themselves back into champions after a seven year drought is at the top of many people's questions list. Did they do enough to create a winning attitude again in the Bronx?
The Tampa Bay Rays had themselves a tremendous run last year, and unlike many Cinderella teams before them, the Rays actually have enough talent to repeat the feat this year. No matter how good they are, they still play in the same division as the Yankees and Red Sox.
The National League will be filled with questions as well. The Mets filled their top needs by solidifying the worst bullpen in baseball from a year ago. Even with the upgrades, they are saddled with the majority of the same players that have now twice blown division leads in September.
The defending champion Phillies are again loaded enough to make a run at a repeat title. The Cubs have also reloaded and are looking for their first title in a century. They still may pull of a trade for Padres ace Jake Peavy before the season starts, which would make them the clear favorites in the NL.
Whatever the story line may be, and there will be many, starting this week the focus shifts in sports. The NFL season is over and those four beautiful words have sprung from the new year. Pitchers and catchers report. Welcome back baseball.
