The Auburn Tigers are the latest in the list of SEC teams that will play for a BCS Championship. Unlike in past years, however, odds makers have given their opponents, the Oregon Ducks, a legitimate chance to win the game.

The game features two teams that are built almost identically. Auburn and Oregon both rely on fast-paced offenses that are conditioned to put up a lot of points each game. The Auburn defense is bigger in size that Oregon's, but the Ducks have the speed advantage.

Las Vegas sports books will likely get action on both sides of this game with no real favorite. Auburn is favored by just one point, and the total for the game is seventy-two. With a total that high, it is expected that the offenses will be the dominant units on the field for most of the night.

The Tigers are led on offense by Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton. Oregon has an offensive stud of their own in Heisman finalist LaMarcus James. The quarterback and running back account for a large portion of the teams' offensive output, but both teams have plenty of other weapons.

The debate has been stirring recently about which conference was the best this season, and the winner of this game will hold a strong upper hand. Stanford has already won the Orange Bowl, and if Oregon wins, that would be two BCS game wins for the Pac Ten. Auburn would join Alabama, Florida, and LSU as teams with big bowl wins for the SEC.

ESPN will carry the game as they have become the network with the rights to the BCS games. ESPN has done a long lead-up to the game being played in Arizona. Game time is set for shortly after 8PM from the desert.
