BCS College Football Poll Has USC Up Into The Number Two Spot

USC played as well as could of been expected on Saturday night against Notre Dame and because of their victory they are the new #2 team in the BCS standings released Sunday.

Ohio State has already punched their ticket to the national title game and it now appears that USC will join them there. All USC has to do is win against their rival UCLA on Saturday and they will most certainly be the Buckeyes opponent in Arizona.

Michigan was hoping that Notre Dame would win against the Trojans but that did not happen and now the Wolverines will be left thinking about their three point loss at Ohio State last week and will have no shot at redemption.

Florida won against their rival FSU Saturday but they did not win convincingly and created a situation where they are on the outside looking in on the national title picture.

LSU rounds out the top five and played themselves into a BCS bowl game with a win on the road over Arkansas this weekend. Although Arkansas lost the game and saw its title hopes go up in flames. they still can reach a BCS game by defeating Florida in the SEC championship game.

Louisville moved up to #6 and will win the Big East and an automatic birth in a BCS game if West Virginia can beat Rutgers this week.

Wisconsin is #7, Boise State #8, Arkansas #9, and Notre Dame dropped all the way to #10 after a crushing loss at USC.
