BCS College Football Poll Shuffles Once Again
The Buckeyes had their hands full with Illinois this week but they prevailed and the seven point win was enough to keep them at #1 for another week in the BCS polls released today.
Michigan also strubbled in their game with Ball State and they came away with an 8 point win and kept their #2 ranking in the polls. The two teams are set to square off in less than two weeks for a spot in the national title game in Tempe, Arizona.
Louisville came up with an impressive victory on Thursday over previous #3 West Virginia, and that win pushed the Cardinals past Florida and into the ever important third spot.
The Gators remained at #4 after struggling in their game against Vanderbilt.
Texas pulled within .002 of the Gators and for the time being is #5 in the standings.
Auburn coasted to an easy victory over the weekend and remained within striking distance of the top at #6.
USC moves from #8 to #7 after a rousing win Saturday.
California, who is set to play USC later this season holds down the #8 spot by jumping over the Fighting Irish.
Notre Dame stays at #9 after routing North Carolina.
West Virginia took the biggest hit of the former top ten teams by getting beat by Louisville last thursday. The Mountaineers dropped all the way from #3 to #10.
