BCS College Football Polls Receive a Huge Facelift This Week
Ohio State and Michigan remained the top two teams respectively in the newest BCS polls released on Sunday evening. The two teams have been in the 1-2 position since the first week the standings were released, however something has to give next weekend, as the two teams are set to square off in Ohio with all kinds of bowl and title ramifications on the line.
The # 3 spot in the rankings was somewhat of a mystery this week after a Saturday of games that included Texas, Auburn, and California all being upset, and Florida barely surviving against South Carolina. The results of all the upsets is that USC moves all the way from #7 to #3 in the latest standings.
Florida remained #4 and failed to capitalize on Louisville's loss on Thursday. Notre Dame rounded out the top five by moving up from #9. The Irish was one of the only top ten teams who made easy work of their opponent on Saturday.
Rutgers is apparently finally getting the respect it deserves after beating Louisville and keeping their perfect record in tact. The Scarlet Knights are ranked sixth.
Arkansas moves from #11 to #7 after throttling Tennessee.
West Virginia moves to #8.
Wisconsin breaks into the top ten at nine, and Louisville drops all the way to #10 from #3.
