BCS College Football Polls Released With Ohio State Still #1
The Buckeyes used another dominating performance over Minnesota on Saturday to strengthen their hold on the number one spot in the BCS standings.
Michigan remained #2 despite a lackluster outing this weekend. The Wolverines and the Buckeyes meet in each teams last game of the regular season.
West Virginia took full advantage of USC's stunning loss to Oregon State as the Mountaineers moved up to number three in the polls.
Florida moved from #6 to #4 after holding off Georgia 21-14 at the swamp Saturday afternoon. The Gators appear poised to make a run at the title game after finishing their toughest stretch of the season 3-1.
Louisville is the #5 team in the new rankings. The Cardinals have a huge showdown with #3 West Virginia on Thursday night. The winner of that game should be in position to play for the title at the end of the season.
Auburn struggled with Mississippi this weekend but still held on to win and is the #6 team right now.
Texas is #7 after coming all the way back to beat Texas Tech Saturday night.
USC took the biggest hit of the previous top ten teams by falling from #3 to #8.
Notre Dame stayed in the top ten at #9 and surprisingly California is #10.
The Golden Bears were expecting to be ranked higher considering they currently lead the Pac Ten and are undefeated in conference play, but the recent success of USC has them ranked higher than California.
