Bears And Packers Set To Renew Rivalry in NFL Prime Time
The Chicago Bears last year rode a wave of momentum all the way to the Super Bowl and things came very easy for much of that journey. Things could not be more opposite this season as the team is struggling to save its season just 5 weeks in.
The Green Bay Packers dealt with all the controversy that surrounded Brett Favre deciding not to retire in the off season, now fans are applauding that decision as after four weeks, Favre looks like an MVP candidate.
The Bears can get themselves back into the divisional race tonight if they can find a way to recapture that magic from last year and defeat a team in Green Bay that has yet to lose.
The Packers come into tonights game looking to lay the hammer down on Chicago and send the windy city into a negative frenzy.
The stakes do not get much higher for the Bears, a win means they would crawl to within two games of the division leading Packers, but a loss would put them in almost an impossible position. They would be 4 games behind Green Bay only five games into the season, and that would spell all but the end for the defending champs.
Game time is 8:15 and is the Sunday night game on Football Night in America on NBC.
