Bears Headed To Super Bowl After Crushing The Saints
The Bears came out hitting on all cylinders on Sunday afternoon scoring early and often, creating turnovers, playing special teams, and doing everything one would expect from a team headed to the Super Bowl.
The result of their play was a 39-14 victory over the upstart Saints, whose fairy tail season has come to an end.
The Saints appeared out of sync from the start as the Bears defense continually pressured starting quarterback Drew Brees and forced the Saints into several turnovers.
Rex Grossman, the Bears quarterback, answered his critics in leading the Bears on scoring drives all day, continually completing big pass after big pass.
Chicago now will await the winner of the Colts-Patriots game. A Pats win would set up a rematch of the 1985 Super Bowl, a game in which the Bears dominated and won.
Chicago heads to Miami as the NFC champions after being the conferences best team all season.
