Betting World Shifts To NBA With Lakers And Celtics

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics are the first two teams that would roll out of a person's mouth if they were asked to name the greatest two franchises in NBA history. Now those two teams are back on top of the league.

Last year, the Lakers came out of nowhere to win the Western Conference. Many experts did not even have Los Angeles making the playoffs before the season started, but in the end they ended up in the finals.

Their opponent in those finals was longtime nemesis the Boston Celtics. They too had overcome a bad season a year before to make it to the finals. The additions of Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett kick started that resurgence.

The Celtics got the best of the Lakers in the finals, and became world champs. Now, with the entire betting world watching, the two meet again in a long anticipated Christmas Day match up.

All of the usual suspects are back. Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Derek Fisher for the Lakers, and Garnett, Allen, and Paul Pierce for the Celtics.

The game gains even more attention due to the lack of available options for gamblers on Christmas Day. Los Angeles and Boston are the main draw for those looking to place a bet on this day.
