The sportsbooks took a bath on this game, with the Favorites, Korea winning 2-1 against a feisty Togo team. Everyone was on Korea, as Togo moved a full 100 points from opening line to kick off. There was money bet on the Under in this game, allowing the sportsbooks to get a little back. On a whole, this was not a good game for the bookies.
France and Switzerland play to a 0-0 Draw
Boring, boring, boring. That is how to describe the France opener Tuesday. With all the money coming in on France, the Bookies made out like Bandits on the side and lost a small amount on the Under. 4 goal posts and crossbars were hit, but close doesn?t count in soccer and like the last 2 times these teams played each other, it was a boring draw.
Brazil beat Croatia 1-0 in a Real Exciting Game
The fans loved this game, the TV network loved this game and Brazil loved this game, but the sportsbooks were not at all happy. Even with Brazil as huge -300 chalk, the public were all over this team and the sportsbooks got smoked on this game. This was a classic soccer game and one of the most exciting of the World Cup tournament. Both teams had tons of chances and there was no reason Croatia could not have tied this game up in the 2nd half.
