Beyonce, Murphy and Hudson in Dream Girls Stirring Oscar Buzz

Some early bets can be made that the movie Dream Girls will bring in at least two Oscar nominations, one for best actress for Beyonce Noles, and one for best supporting actor for Eddie Murphy.

One online sportsbook, Pinnacle Sports, already has released odds that the movie will win for Best Movie of the Year.

Thursday night the movie started a ten day test run in New York and tickets were going for $25 a piece. The high price tickets didn't keep people away from the movie as long lines formed almost immediately after sales opened.

Eddie Murphy is getting a great deal of buzz from his role as a James Brown like character that is said to be performed superbly in his able hands. The odds of him winning the award for best supporting actor are slim, although he does have the we-like-to-vote-for-veterans-at-Oscar-time factor going for him.

And although Beyonce Knowles steals the show, it is Jennifer Hudson, former American Idol contestant, that is getting all the buzz. Her performance is so good that she could get some long shot odds on winning for best supporting actress.

Although no odds have been placed yet on the specific Oscar nods other than Best Picture, expect some soon on this movie that has many aspects worth betting on.
