Justin Bieber has sang and danced his way into the hearts of millions of teenage girls over the past several years. On Friday, he made gamblers happy when he won the celebrity all-star game most valuable player award.

Bettors these days can place a wager on almost anything, and with all-star weekend taking place in Los Angeles, the betting has been fast and furious at Las Vegas sports books. Odds have been offered online for which celebrity would win the MVP award in the game Friday.

Of the celebrities taking part in the game, Bieber was one of the least likely to win the MVP. Common had played an NBA star in the movies, so the odds were short on him winning the award. Bill Simmons writes about basketball, and was sure to show off his long range shot.

NBA legends also took part in the game. Magic Johnson may be the most recognizable NBA player of all-time, but there is not much left in his body. Scottie Pippen and Jalen Rose figured to play a prominent role in the game, but neither was spectacular.

Bieber ended the night with eight points. Pippen was the pick of many analysts to be the MVP of the event, but Bieber clearly had the moves out on the court that were gaining the most attention. At one point, Bieber dribbled through the entire opposing team defense.

The real NBA All-Star game betting will take place Sunday. The game has traditionally been a high scoring affair, with not much defense being played. The total for the game has reached into the 300,s at times, with offense being a priority. The slam dunk contest will also garner attention on Saturday evening, with Blake Griffin a big betting favorite to win the competition.
