Brady Quinn to See Playing Time in NFL Preseason Week Two
The NFL preseason holds a few advantages to go with all the disadvantages that come with playing four to five games before the regular season.
The teams are constantly trying to evaluate the bubble players and come up with 53 players that will eventually turn into their regular season roster.
The other advantage is the rookies get playing time to learn the system and work out the nerves that come with playing in the NFL.
Brady Quinn was the Browns first round draft pick this season, and after holding out at the beginning of training camp, he arrived in camp last week and will take many of the snaps for Cleveland this weekend when they play host to Detroit.
Another rookie is looking to make his debut tonight in Baltimore, where Heisman trophy winner Troy Smith is set to make his debut against the Eagles.
One rookie who will not be seeing playing time anytime soon is the first overall pick in the draft, Jamarcus Russell. He has yet to sign a contract with the Raiders, and the longer he holds out, the more likely he will not start the season as the Raiders #1 quarterback.
Week two of the NFL preseason usually sees the starters playing about a quarter before giving way to the younger players.
