Brett Favre Could Severely Change The NFL Gambling Odds

This does not happen too often in the world of sports gambling. One player, basically holding up a whole conference's betting odds. That is the case, however, with Brett Favre.

There is no denying that the Packers odds change drastically with Favre under center. It is not that Aaron Rodgers can't lead them to a title, it's just that Favre has.

Gamblers all across the world are waiting on the final outcome of the Favre situation. Anyone with any thought that Favre might end up the teams starting quarterback most likely have already placed a bet on the Packers.

If Favre should end up starting, the betting odds for Green Bay to win the Super Bowl will drop. How far they drop is still anyone's guess.

"Brett Favre went to the NFC Championship game last year. The team is not much different than last year, and if he comes back, I estimate that the betting odds o the Packers would drop significantly," said one industry insider.

Equally interesting is what Favre could mean to the betting odds of teams looking to acquire his services. Tampa Bay would be intriguing. They have the defense in place, and adding Favre could definitely catapult them to being one of the favorites in the NFC.
