Carlos Boozer In Chicago As LeBron James Knicks Rumors Swirl
NBA gamblers have strong memories when it comes to teams and players that have won them or lost them money in the past. This upcoming season, these gamblers can thrown all of those old notes out the window thanks to free agency.
The player carousel continued to turn on Wednesday when two of the biggest three free agents chose to play together in Miami. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are both on board with the Heat, and speculation is now growing that LeBron James may soon be joining his friends.
James, however, has been linked to several teams as fans and players wait for the announcement on Thursday of where James will be signing. One of the rumors floating around late Wednesday was tweeted by Phoenix Suns player Jared Dudley, who claimed James was on his way to the Big Apple.
Chicago improved their chances of signing James when they agreed to terms with former Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer. For years, Wade had been trying to recruit Boozer to Miami, but in the end Wade ended up with a different type of "Robin" in Bosh. The Bulls now have another piece to dabble in front of James before he makes his decision.
Amare Stoudemire started the free agent agreements on Tuesday when he decided to go to the Knicks. Once the final piece to the puzzle is complete, all of the NBA teams can continue filling out their rosters for the upcoming season.
One team that will not be making much noise will be the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. L.A. has most of their core players wrapped up for at least two more seasons. Derek Fisher is the only major free agent from last year's title winning team, and many analysts believe that Fisher will reach an agreement to stay with the Lakers.
