Casino May Fund New Stadium For Minnesota Vikings

USA Players Accepted at Rome Casino!

If new legislation is passed in Minnesota the NFL will quite a dilemma on their hands. The league likes to tell anyone that will listen that they are against gambling, but that theory would be tested if the legislation passes.

Representative Tom Hackbarth has proposed that a new Twin Cities casino be built and the money that is generated from the casino go to a new stadium for the Minnesota Vikings. The idea has many people thinking.

"Let's let the voters decide," said Hackbarth, "I think this is the perfect solution." He claimed that he had not yet talked the idea over with the Vikings and had only recently told fellow lawmakers.

The Vikings seemed taken aback by the proposal, but they gave what seems like a league mandated response when it comes to gambling. Then, they backtracked and began to think about the prospects.

"We're not advocating for a gaming situation," said Lester Bagley, a Viking Spokesman told the Start Tribune, "(But) if that's what the state leaders want to use, then let's sit down. At least someone is thinking creatively."

The state does not want to lose the Vikings. Under the plan, however, they would have to sign a thirty year lease for the new stadium. They would also need local help in proceeding with the project.
