Champions League Betting Features Manchester United And Barcelona
When it comes to the game of soccer, it does not get any bigger than Wednesday's game between Manchester United and Barcelona. The two best clubs in Europe are facing off to become the winner of the Champions League.
The two clubs have fought through a rigorous schedule to arrive here at the end. Man U has had to battle the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham on their way to the finals. For Barcelona, it was Villarreal, Chelsea, and Real Madrid.
"For even the most casual of soccer fans, this match is a must-see," said Brian Welten, a longtime Manchester United fan, "this is what we've been waiting for, and it would be great if we could win again."
Yes, again is the key word. Man U is the defending champions of the Champions League. Barcelona is also no stranger to winning. They were the Champions League title holders back in 2006, and are looking to regain their claim to be the top team in Europe.
Barcelona, from Spain, and Manchester United, from England, could not have set up a more boundary oriented final. Fans from both sides will be passionately rooting for their clubs, and Stadio Olimpico in Rome will be packed to the max.
Both teams will be a little short handed. Manchester U will be without starting central midfielder Darren Fletcher, who is suspended after a red card against Arsenal. Barcelona is actually in worse shape, having defenders Daniel Alves and Eric Abedal suspended for the match.
The betting on the match has been about even. They are carrying similar odds, showing that the public is split on which club will win.
