College Basketball Major Conference Tournament Betting Begins
This is a rough time of year for college basketball fans all across the US. Many teams are on the bubble to make the NCAA tournament and wins in their conference tournament this week could make all the difference in the world.
The big conferences all have either started their tournaments or will be starting their tournaments by tomorrow at the latest. The SEC, in particular, has two teams that are predicted by experts to be two of the last four teams left out of the NCAA's.
The Florida Gators are just two years removed from winning back to back national championships, but the Gators have followed a similar pattern since winning their titles. They have started the season strong, then faded down the stretch.
Florida is joined on the bubble by South Carolina. The Gamecocks are in the same position as the Gators of having to most likely win at least two games in the SEC tournament to have any hope of making the big dance.
The ACC tournament begins on Thursday and there also are two bubble teams playing for their tournament lives. Ironically, they will both have a chance to improve their position when they play each other in the first round. Miami and Virginia Tech have a tough task ahead to get to the NCAA tournament.
Whichever of the two teams wins on Thursday would in all likelihood have to beat the number one team in the country, North Carolina, in the second round to make it into the big tournament. If not, both will be headed to the NIT.
