College Basketball Sees Florida as Team to Beat in 2007
The Gators are returning their whole line up from a team that won a National Title, none of there draft eligible players left for the draft and that was enough for oddsmakers to make the the favorite at 5-1.
North Carolina after what was somewhat of a rebuilding year last year, has apparently reloaded and is the second choice at 6-1.
Kansas is the third choice at 15-2, the Jayhawks are also returning all five starters from last season.
Surprisingly, Ohio State is the fourth choice of oddsmakers at 11-1, so while their football team tops the polls in their sport, the basketball team is making a name for themselves also.
Duke, which from year to year is usually one of the top three picks to win the whole thing is at #5 at staggering odds of 20-1.
The Rest of the top ten picks from the oddsmakers are as follows UCLA 28-1, Georgetown 31-1, Pittsburgh 32-1, UConn at 32-1, and Arizona, out of the Pac Ten at 32-1.
Only a few weeks are left until the beginning of the 2007 season.
