College Football BCS Picks: Sooners Hope To Beat The Betting Odds
Tim Tebow has become the glamour boy for this year's national championship. There have been countless features on Tebow and all of the motivation he brings to the Florida Gators. One thing has been overlooked. Sam Bradford of the Oklahoma Sooners was voted the best player in college football this year.
Bradford beat out Tebow for the Heisman Trophy in what some people thought was an upset. If Bradford and his Sooners win tonight, there will be no guessing, it will be in upset fashion.
The Gators started out at sportsbooks as one point favorites in this game. With only several hours left before the game, Florida is now favored by a touchdown in some places. It echoes a growing opinion that Florida is the better team.
Oklahoma had the best offense in the nation this year. They scored at will for the last month of the season. Experts believe, however, that the Gators have enough speed on defense to slow down the Sooners offense.
On the other side of the ball, Florida gets Percy Harvin back at full strength. It is a weapon that Tebow has been without for a long time now, and one he will welcome back with open arms.
With the majority of the public going the way of Gainesville, it should caution the experienced gambler. Usually when it seems like a lock, it is not. Look out Gator Nation, the Sooners might just ruin the party tonight.
