College Football Betting Lines Favor Underdogs This Week
Oddsmakers in Vegas spend many days rooting for underdogs on football games, but this week may be different as many underdogs appear to be solid plays on Saturday.
Among the games that semm to be a little suspicious is the Tennessee-Georgia game. Even though the bulldogs are playing at home, the Volunteers are favored by 2 points. Georgia is coming off a couple of lackluster performances, but it's hard to believe they will not be ready for a conference match up with Tennessee.
Another game that seems to be a little awkward is the Penn State-Minnesota game. The Golden Gophers are playing at home and are 3 point underdogs. Nothing that has been seen yet this season by the Nittany Lions indicates that they should be favored on the road in a conference game.
Michigan State is a 15.5 point underdog against rival Michigan in the big house, and this game has blow out all over it with two teams going in opposite directions. However, it is still a rivalry game and Michigan St. has shown flashes of being a decent football team. !5.5 is too much to give up here.
Other games that could swing in the underdogs direction are Wake Forest getting 16.5 at home against Clemson, Indiana getting 7.5 on the road against rival Illinois, and Iowa State at home getting 7 from Nebraska.
