College Football Betting Odds: FSU And Clemson Battle In ACC
The Florida State Seminoles started this college football season so poorly that boosters have been calling for legendary head coach Bobby Bowden to retire at the end of the year. What a difference a few weeks makes.
The Seminoles have rolled off consecutive ACC wins and now are in a position to move to the top of their division in the race to reach the ACC championship game. The team standing in their way is the Clemson Tigers, who also have title game aspirations.
Clemson has been playing as good as any team in the conference over the past month. Their signature win came two weeks ago on the road against Miami, and now they can take control of their division by defeating FSU tonight.
The game will be played in South Carolina, which should give the Tigers the edge. The two teams both have explosive offenses that feature two of the best players in the country.
The Seminoles are playing out of character for most of the year. Their offense has carried the team while their heralded defense has struggled for much of the season. Defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews has announced that he will retire at the end of the season.
The Bowden detractors will be out once again tonight, waiting for him to slip up again. There is the chance, however, that the legendary coach can rally his players and turn away his critics.
