College Football Betting Odds: Gamecocks And Crimson Tide Tonight

The Gamecocks are a team that has been fighting to gain inclusion into the nation's elite football programs over the past several years. Coach Steve Spurrier understands that tonight's game against Alabama could be key to that movement.

In the past several years, South Carolina has had signature wins over big programs, but has yet to put together a full season. This year, they enter the Alabama game with only one loss and a chance to show the nation that they deserve to be considered great.

Alabama has the pressure of being moved to number two by AP voters last week. They have consistently been in the top five since Nick Saban has taken over, and tonight they can continue their run towards a collision course with Florida in the SEC title game.

The Gators almost blew their chance earlier in the day when they snuck by Arkansas with the help of some key controversial penalties late in the fourth quarter. Still, a win is a win, and Florida remained unbeaten on the season.

Odds makers do not believe this game against South Carolina will be much of a challenge for Alabama. The Crimson Tide is favored by eighteen points, and the total for the game is forty-four.
