College Football Betting Odds: Penn State Favored Over Michigan
Every year, the Penn State Nittany Lions and Michigan Wolverines face off either in Pennsylvania or Michigan. Like clockwork, the game always has at least one team in contention for a national title at the time they play.
This year is no different. The Penn State Nittany Lions took a tough loss earlier in the season to Iowa, but outside of that game, they have been perfect. Michigan will try to destroy Penn State's national title hopes today in the Big House.
Michigan is one of the toughest places to play for an opposing team. The stadium can hold 100,000, and the fans are usually well prepared to wreak havoc on the opposing team. Penn State knows this environment all too well.
There is little doubt that the Nittany Lions are the more talented team on paper. They have a stronger defense and their offense has, at times, shown flashes of brilliance. Michigan is a young team still being fitted for coach Rich Rodriguez's mold.
Although there appears to be a talent difference, Michigan has the athletes to pull of the upset. Rodriguez is known to be a master recruiter for his style of football, and it is only a matter of time before Michigan returns to the top of the college football world.
Odds makers have made Penn State the betting favorite for the game. The Nittany Lions are favored by four points. The total for the game is forty-eight. ABC will offer regional coverage of the game.
